I like the message behind this picture and all, but does anyone notice that even when we’re talking about “plus” sized women and body acceptance, we always happen to just show certain body types? Like, yes, I guess this lady is a size 16 - but there is a difference between size and measurements. I’m a size 11 and I can already tell that my body type is still drastically different than hers.
I think i’m going to forgo giving any “plus size appreciation” posts any cookies until I see some actual love handles, muffin tops and protruding guts in the mix. Not everyone has an hourglass figure America. Its like “its fine if you’re plus sized as long as you still have the basic figure we want - you don’t gotta be super skinny but you still gotta look flawless!”
