It’s so hard to enjoy any show with your camera as your primary focus. A few snaps here & there and a video or two of some priceless moments is as far as I’ll go.

Founded by two second-generation Dominicanas, NI AQUÍ, NI ALLÁ (NaNa) was initially imagined in 2009 and eventually created in early 2010.

Groana Melendez was born in Brooklyn and raised between Washington Heights and the Dominican Republic. She received a B.F.A in Art Photography from Syracuse University, and is currently living and working as a photographer in New York City. Nicole Vásquez was born in Manhattan and raised in the Bronx until the age of sixteen, later settling in Bergenfield, New Jersey. She received a B.A in Mass Communication from Lehman College of the City University of New York. When she's not hunched in front of her computer, she can be found experimenting with the latest DIY cosmetic recipe or working with city students of various age groups.
